Senior Workday Product Owner – Workday Payroll

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)

Duration: 6-Month Contract

W2 hourly rate : upto $65

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Lead Product Owner – Workday Payroll to support the Human Resources (HR) Transformation & Products Team . In this role, you will collaborate with HR and business leaders to develop and execute solutions for complex payroll-related challenges. You will be responsible for shaping the US Payroll product vision, roadmap, and solution delivery while driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Strategic consultant for complex business and technical needs within Product Management.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that drive efficiency and transformation in Workday Payroll.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to identify challenges, recommend solutions, and influence decision-making.
  • Lead product vision, roadmap development, and execution for US Payroll solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on innovative payroll and HR product solutions.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment , ensuring smooth delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Use Agile methodologies to manage product backlog, prioritize features, and drive iterative improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience or equivalent experience (consulting, training, military, or education).
  • Expertise in Workday Payroll , with experience supporting US and Canadian payroll operations .
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams in a matrixed environment .
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills .
  • Hands-on experience working in an Agile environment, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with HR transformation projects .
  • Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments .
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory aspects of US and Canadian payroll.
