SAIC is seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting SAIC with planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of multiple projects. This role involves creating and maintaining project plans, tracking project execution, and developing and maintaining records systems using tools such as Visio and SQL databases. The successful candidate will also perform technical editing and/or prepare and maintain systems documentation, including creating, publishing, and updating comprehensive network design drawings using various tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of multiple projects.
• Create and maintain project plans and assist in tracking project execution.
• Develop and maintain records systems using such tools as Visio, SQL databases, etc.
• Perform technical editing and maintain systems documentation.
• Create, publish, and update comprehensive network design drawings using various tools.
• Develop solutions to critical software architecture problems and broad design issues.
• Perform software analysis, design, and testing specific to business areas.
• Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters to meet business requirements.
• Analyze client data and evaluate various factors to solve diverse scope problems.
• Provide application engineering and coordination support.
• Design, install, test, and maintain software applications and systems.
• Monitor computer system performance to ensure proper application operations.
• Manage system activities to ensure a rich user experience.
• Work in an agile development environment and support operational requirements.
• Provide training for warfighters on the use of applications and systems in support of the mission.
• Be prepared to deploy to Areas of Responsibility (AOR) on short notice.
• Interact and collaborate with warfighters on a 40+ hour week basis, and, if deployed, on a 12-hour, 6-day week basis (72 hours/week).
• Support on-call requirements as needed to maintain capabilities within the environment.
• Collect enhancement requirements and train users in support of the mission.
• Integrate multiple data sets into architecture in support of the mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience; 6 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree.
• Experience developing and tracking project schedules.
• Technical documentation editing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Software development experience with Linux RedHat operating system.
• Software development experience such as GoLang and JavaREACT/Sencha.
• Capable of troubleshooting server hardware, Linux OS, PostgreSQL Database, Active Directory, and other web services.
• Must possess at minimum a DoD Secret clearance & must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills:

• SQL database experience.
• Experience in Project Management and Information Technology.
• Strong working knowledge of SOUTHCOM and AOR.
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification desired.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 compliance.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should be prepared to work in an agile development environment and support operational requirements.
• Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with warfighters, including working on a 40+ hour week, and if deployed, on a 12-hour, 6-day a week basis (72 hours/week).
• Willingness to support on-call requirements as needed.
