Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Microbiology Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in performing and reviewing microbiological assays to ensure the quality and safety of our products. This role will involve performing a variety of tests such as Gram Stain, Endotoxin, Sterility, Microbial Identification, Growth Promotion, Bioburden, and Plate Reading, with a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of laboratory practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and review a range of microbiological assays including Gram Stain, Endotoxin testing, Sterility testing, Microbial Identification, Growth Promotion, Bioburden testing, and Plate Reading.
• Ensure all assays are performed accurately, within established timelines, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Review and interpret results from microbiological testing, ensuring all findings are consistent with expected outcomes.
• Document test results, maintain clear and accurate records, and communicate findings to senior team members or management.
• Ensure all microbiological testing is conducted in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is properly calibrated and functioning.
• Assist in the preparation of media, reagents, and other materials necessary for microbiological testing.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a closely related scientific discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in performing microbiological assays and laboratory techniques, ideally in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry).
• Familiarity with microbiological testing such as Gram Stain, Endotoxin, Sterility, Microbial Identification, Growth Promotion, Bioburden, and Plate Reading.
• Understanding of microbiological techniques and laboratory equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing laboratory testing and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred.
