Job Description

The Licensed Title Agent is responsible for facilitating and processing purchase and refinance transactions while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires expertise in title insurance, real estate transactions, and escrow procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional service to clients, lenders, and real estate professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing purchase and refinance transactions from start to finish.
  • Review title commitments, resolve title issues, and clear any encumbrances before closing.
  • Prepare and review closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, and affidavits.
  • Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys to ensure a smooth closing process.
  • Conduct title searches and verify property ownership, liens, and encumbrances.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and underwriting requirements.
  • Issue title policies and endorsements as needed.
  • Manage escrow funds and disbursements in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Address and resolve any title-related issues that may arise during the transaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of transactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all parties involved in the closing process.

Requirements:

  • Active FL Title Agent license required.
  • Prior experience in title insurance, escrow, or closing procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, title searches, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Proficiency in title and escrow software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
