The Role

We are seeking a professional and service-oriented Messenger/Runner to join our Concierge team servicing one of Manhattan’s premier commercial workplace buildings. The Messenger Center is designed to accept incoming and manage outgoing packages for tenants, including postal mail and packages, onsite package and food delivery. This role requires a warm, engaging presence, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering VIP-level service. Our Concierge Messenger Booth services operate Monday-Friday, covering shifts from 7:30am-5:30pm. All Concierge Messenger team members follow a part-time work schedule, and shifts may vary week to week. 

Responsibilities 

• Receive and check-in Messenger Center packages, food and/or other onsite delivery items, ensuring proper documentation and handling procedures.
• Deliver packages to various locations within the building efficiently and accurately.
• Support tenant’s outbound package mailing requests timely, adhering to building safety and security protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of package deliveries through the building's ticketing system, tracking discrepancies and coordinating with other concierge and/or building team members for timely resolution. 
• Maintain a secure and safe environment by adhering to and enforcing visitor access procedures, coordinating with proper support teams when necessary. 
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the package storage area.
• Ensure timely distribution of mail and special deliveries.
• Provide support to the concierge team with additional tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and building protocols when moving through the facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and transport packages safely.
• Comfortable walking, standing, and going up and down stairs throughout the shift.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Experience in a similar role or courier/delivery experience is a plus.

Hiring Process

Select candidates will be invited to schedule a 20-30 minute screening call with a member of our team. We will discuss the Hiring Process details at that time. The hiring process typically includes, but is not limited to:

• A 30 minute video interview with a member of Senior Management
• Selected candidates will be invited for an on-site interview round
• Successful candidates will subsequently be made an offer

Additional Details:

The hourly rate range for this role is: $18-22/hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience, level, and skillset. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. In these situations, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
