Position: 3D Scanner

Location: Memphis, TN

Travel: 75%

Aegis Sortation is seeking a 3D Laser Scanning Technician to apply advanced technologies to document and compile comprehensive as-built survey data for nationwide renovation projects. This unique, travel-centric opportunity allows you to spend up to 50% of your time traveling, typically for a few days at a time. If you are not traveling, you will be working in the office. Key Responsibilities:

• Travel across the U.S. to capture architectural data on location.
• Assist with a wide variety of projects by adapting to different scopes, client standards, and software requirements.
• Support the BIM Team, Systems Engineers, and Construction (AEC) clients in renovation planning by documenting property conditions in 2D, 3D, and 360-degree formats using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Collaborate with project managers, survey teams, and processors during the project lifecycle to understand the scope of work and assemble well-crafted survey reports.
• Responsibly use reality capture tools, including laser scanners and distance meters; laptops and iPads; cameras and smartphones; as well as drones and other emergent technologies.
• Work with the BIM team by creating 3D assets in Autodesk ACC and developing 3D families using Revit.

Requirements:

• Must be willing to travel
• 3D modeling, printing, or design experience
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to produce work independently, and effectively coordinate with team members.
• Proactive and organized, the candidate effectively manages multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines (including taking advantage of overtime opportunities).
