Title: Welder

Location: Calumet City, IL

Job Overview:

Seeking a certified welder with expertise in TIG (primarily). The successful candidate will play a critical role in fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components for custom engineering solutions. This is a hands-on position that requires a high degree of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fabricate piping, pressure vessels and other type of equipment using TIG (primarily), MIG, ARC and other welding processes.
2. Design test fixturing as necessary to support fabrication activities.
3. Recommend changes to procedures and processes to improve efficiency and/or quality of the product.
4. Perform field fabrication activities as necessary.
5. Support sales and marketing activities that result in increased revenue, sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
6. Work closely with engineers and production personnel to resolve complex welding and fabrication problems.

Qualification Requirements:

1. Minimum High School diploma. Associates Degree or related degree from an accredited institution preferred.
2. State approved apprenticeship program, or equivalent education or experience to demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the job duties.
3. AWS Certifications and 3-5+ years welding experience.
4. Weld test required with stainless steel pipe.
5. knowledge of gauges and pressure valves.
6. Vast knowledge of fabricate piping, pressure vessels and other type of equipment using TIG (primarily), MIG, ARC and other welding processes.
7. Knowledge and experience working in a machine/manufacturing shop.
8. MUST be able to read drawings and fabricate based on drawing design, specifications and procedures.
9. Strong communications and customer interaction skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, and other specialty metals.
• Knowledge of CNC machines and cutting tools.
• Experience in quality assurance or inspection role.
• Ability to pressure test and perform leak testing is a PLUS
