Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient OB/GYN Clinic (Temporary, Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Duration: Temporary position, covering maternity leave through February

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy, multidisciplinary Outpatient OB/GYN Clinic . This is a temporary, full-time position providing coverage during a maternity leave. The clinic supports three subspecialties— Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM), Gynecologic Surgery, and General Obstetrics —offering a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on patient-centered care in a low-acuity setting .

The RN will be the primary nurse on-site (in addition to the RN Manager) and will play a key leadership role in supporting medical assistants, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring smooth daily operations across the three subspecialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including rooming, patient education, and post-procedure instructions.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with in-office procedures.
• Triage patient calls, messages, and urgent clinical concerns; manage medication requests and refills.
• Oversee and support medical assistants in daily tasks, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers to coordinate patient care plans and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in team huddles, process improvement initiatives, and daily workflow coordination.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in [state].
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience , preferably in an outpatient or women’s health setting.
• Experience in OB/GYN, MFM, or surgical specialties strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and patient education skills.
