The Role

We are seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our Los Angeles team. This individual will be instrumental in overseeing the end-to-end execution of artist releases and marketing campaigns, while also supporting the co-founders on strategic initiatives that drive growth and elevate the D36 brand. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, creatively minded, and passionate about shaping the future of global music culture.

D36 is a Los Angeles-based record label and music company committed to amplifying the voices of South Asian artists on a global stage. Since our inception in 2021, we’ve released genre-spanning music from across the South Asian diaspora and are now expanding our focus to spotlight talent from outside North America. We maintain an active partnership with Sony Music, collaborating across both the U.S. frontline and South Asian markets.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Release Management

  • Manage artist projects from recording through release, ensuring alignment with timelines and key milestones
  • Set and monitor deadlines across all release phases: recording, distribution, marketing, and promotion
  • Maintain a centralized project tracker via Monday.com, aligning both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Lead weekly release and marketing meetings to ensure cross-functional coordination and timely problem-solving
  • Keep the release calendar current and accurate
  • Oversee the recorded music pipeline and proactively identify bottlenecks in the execution process
  • Coordinate timely delivery of creative assets (e.g., album art, visual content, social media assets) to Sony representatives
  • Conduct regular check-ins with team members to ensure steady progress across all active projects

Marketing Campaigns

  • Define marketing strategies and release budgets with leadership
  • Create and manage tailored campaign plans
  • Oversee agency partners and campaign rollout
  • Analyze results and optimize for impact

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management, marketing, or production within music, entertainment, or a related creative industry
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent timelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Working knowledge of artist release workflows and the music industry landscape
  • Deep interest in global culture and a strong passion for South Asian music
  • Prior experience working with record labels, artist management teams, or distributors is highly preferred
  • Based in Los Angeles or willing to relocate immediately
