We are seeking a true leader to help lead The Faris Foundation. Someone who is dynamic and creative, who can be a great storyteller and advocate for the organization. Non-profit management experience is NOT required, as we feel that someone with related business experience plus a passion for the mission of the organization could be extremely effective in this role.

Founded by Asha Virani and her husband after the loss of their son to cancer, The Faris Foundation focuses on four key areas: childhood cancer research, creative arts programs at cancer centers, care packages for affected children, and public engagement.

The Faris Foundation has a huge opportunity to make an even bigger impact by growing exponentially in the next few years, and they are looking for an exceptional leader to guide them. They are seeking a Deputy Director to join their mission who will eventually move into the Executive Director role.

The Deputy Executive Director role is a key leadership position within the Faris Foundation, responsible for implementation, management, and execution of all fundraising, events, and community relations efforts, and driving the fundraising strategy and initiatives essential to advancing the mission. This position requires a dynamic and creative individual with a passion for making a difference and the ability to inspire others to join our cause.

  • Marketing and Communication
  • Budgeting and Financial Management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of non profit or related for-profit experience with a proven track record of success
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate staff, volunteers, and donors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and build relationships.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and creative environment while supporting other organizational programming efforts.
  • Strategic thinker with a growth mindset, able to develop and execute fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Passion for the mission and the ability to be bold, original, and transformative.
