Lobeline Communications is a full-service Los Angeles based public relations agency specializing in strategic public relations, publicity, media management, with an ever-evolving expertise in entertainment, sports, lifestyle and hospitality. Established in 1986, we have offices in Los Angeles - New York - Chicago - Houston and Toronto.

We are seeking an established  Freelance Fashion Publicist with a proven record of pitching and securing media placements to work jointly with our PR team on an exciting, international fashion brand. The ideal candidate is a professional individual looking to join a collaborative, fast-paced work environment. The position will report to our PR Manager. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven media relations skills and understanding of fashion/lifestyle national media landscape.
• Ability to manage multi-faceted and high-volume account.
• Experience collaborating with celebrities and other high-profile personalities.
• Account management skills and ability to assert PR expertise.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a mindfulness of AP-style.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop storylines and other content to support client communication and publicity plans.
• Develop, sustain, and nurture productive relationships with members of the press.
• Monitor all media platforms in support of clients and to keep informed of breaking news and pop culture/ fashion & lifestyle trends.
• Write and distribute press releases.
• Effectively pitch and secure press coverage in key media outlets.
• Coordinate, execute and staff media events/red carpets, as needed.
• Serve as point-of-contact for client communication and contribute to team meetings.
• Maintain media list and other related databases.
• Be meticulous and able to multitask in a well-organized manner.

Requirements:

• 5 years of full-time public relations or publicist experience, either agency or in-house
• Proven success in pitching TV, print and digital media> Fashion/lifestyle specific.
• Strong assignment and people management skills Excellent computer skills and strong proficiency and experience using Muck Rack/Cision, Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Presentation).
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• College degree in related field (or equivalent experience)

Rate: TBD based on experience and hours agreed upon. Submit rates if possible.

Contract Length: 3 months to start, M2M thereafter
