Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Safety and Operations:

• Perform daily safety audits.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and are within safety guidelines/procedures.
• Monitor SOPs and ensure production adherence.
• Schedule production orders and monitor quality.
• Develop a housekeeping plan to ensure areas are always neat and clean.

1. Employee and Crew Management:

• Supervise crew, including training and ensuring productivity.
• Review converting schedules and address any operational issues with the crew.
• Approve timesheets, monitor attendance, and handle hiring, disciplining, and termination.

1. Inventory and Maintenance:

• Manage inventory to ensure accurate records and good inventory turns.
• Order and replenish production and office supplies and WIP material.
• Oversee facility maintenance and light duty maintenance repairs.

1. Customer Relations and Shipping:

• Build customer awareness and foster a “can do” attitude in employees.
• Process packing list and ship via our 3PL TMS.
• Assist in negotiating freight rates and ensure timely deliveries.

1. Budgeting and Compliance:

• Assist in developing and managing the expense budget.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in Production Management, Business, or a relevant field (Bachelor's preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience and 3 years in the industry.
• Skills: Effective communication, multitasking, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to work in a challenging environment.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Physical: Ability to walk, bend, stand, and lift 75-100 lbs.
• Mental: High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure.

• Work Environment: Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Normal office hours with occasional weekend work.

• Additional Notes: The role requires a strong leader capable of managing operations, maintaining safety, and overseeing inventory and employee development.
