Director of Operations/Chief of Staff (Content Media Organization – NYC based 4 days per week)

Our client is an established and growing short-form social content media organization. They specialize in creating bingeable short-form content that resonates with Generation Z audiences.

The company partners with creators to develop engaging stories and foster dedicated communities and has been at the forefront of bingeable, swipable content since 2020.

They’ve perfected the art of launching and growing some of the most popular content & IP on social media with several original series hits. They’ve launched the careers of several social media stars to the covers of magazines, red carpets, radio, TV, and never-ending selfies around the world. Their brand partners span from Coca-Cola to Nike and beyond. In addition to content creation, they collaborate with prominent brands such as Cash App, Nike, and Prime Video to deliver innovative social media campaigns.

What they’re looking for:

An Operations executive who will be the Chief of Staff to the CEO to help lead operations across production, brand partnerships, finance, ops, and overall strategy. The person in this role will work across every unit of the business. We're looking for a strong strategic mindset, drive to build, and strong curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Manage finances, invoicing and budgets across the business
• Manage company HR and payroll
• Work with company senior leadership to determine quarterly strategic goals
• Assist CEO in finding, scheduling, and interviewing new hires
• Assist brand partnerships team in building long term relationships with brand partners
• Liaison between the organization and our talent management partners- building rapport and relationships with their talent at scale
• Manage company culture initiatives
• Manage all company PR opportunities and outreach

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a similar role- operational or Chief of Staff
• A strong understanding of social media content and content creators
• Past experience in the media business is a plus
• Proven ability to shape narratives, craft compelling messages, and represent leadership in both internal and external forums
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across an organization, foster alignment, and inspire trust
• Adept at anticipating needs and aligning initiatives to organizational goals.
