Job Description

Position Summary: The Director of Asset Management will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of a diverse real estate portfolio, ensuring optimal performance, value enhancement, and alignment with the firm's investment objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in real estate asset management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Asset Management:
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize property value and investment returns.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to align with market trends, investment goals, and risk management protocols.
  • Budget Management:
  • Oversee budgeting processes for properties under management, ensuring fiscal responsibility and financial performance.
  • Analyze financial statements, manage capital expenditures, and forecast future financial needs.
  • Construction Oversight:
  • Manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, including budget, timeline, and quality control.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure projects meet or exceed expectations.
  • Property Management Interface:
  • Act as a liaison between property managers, tenants, and other stakeholders to ensure property operations are smooth, complaints are addressed promptly, and tenant satisfaction is high.
  • Implement best practices in property management to enhance asset performance.
  • AI Integration:
  • Leverage AI technologies to optimize asset management practices, including predictive maintenance, tenant analytics, market analysis, and operational efficiencies.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in real estate and AI to continuously improve management strategies.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team and and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of performance excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Self-Starter and Multi-tasking:
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, identify opportunities for improvement, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Travel:
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to visit properties, meet with stakeholders, or attend industry events.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field;
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years in real estate, with at least 5 years in a senior asset management role.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets, overseeing construction projects, and interfacing with property management teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI applications in real estate, or a strong interest in learning and implementing such technologies.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in real estate software, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.
