The corporate Event Planner supports the marketing team with organizing and managing successful events and trade shows. Event Planner Position Summary:
-Oversee and manage the planning of company trade shows and events.
-Set company goals and sales objectives for each event in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
-Oversee and negotiate contracts with vendors and show organizers;
manage the work and communications throughout the event planning
process.
-Utilize Microsoft Planner to create event timelines and related tasks; assign tasks to relevant departments/team members/external agencies, following up to ensure completion.
-Organize and preserve all event materials in SharePoint and/or Teams.
-Proactively communicate event updates and to-do lists with internal
stakeholders with regularity, increasing as show dates near.
-Organize all meetings and meeting agendas at the event.
-Collaborate with Sales team, agencies and designers as needed to
ensure marketing and sales collateral is created and ready for each
event.
-Book venues, entertainers, photographers, dinners, schedule speakers, etc.
-Manage event set-up, tear down, booth storage, follow-up processes
and logistics.
-Perform post-show evaluations to determine ROI and overall event success.
-Attend all trade shows and events to manage onsite activities and oversee the event's success.
Qualifications Summary:
-Minimum fours years experience within a corporate event planning position.
-Experience planning trade shows required.
-Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
-Experience creating and managing event budgets.
-Strong vendor management skills.
-Experience with social media, photography, and videography is a plus.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Flexibility to travel to all events. (30%)
