Creative Home Academy and Preschool, LLC in Memphis, TN is looking for one cook/chef to join our 12-person strong team. We are located on 1149 Semmes St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK by TBI/FBI and reliable. Shift is part time 20-22 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations
• Complete monthly inventory, par sheets, waste sheet, etc
• Create menus, shopping lists, allergy lists etc...
• Cook dishes to business standards for a licensed childcare program
• Follow health and safety guidelines per Health Departments requirements
• Complete USDA training and any other required trainings for a licensed childcare program
• Prepare ingredients (fresh whole foods) for use during shift
• Sliced and diced for children under 5 years old
• Trash out to street for pick up and return into place
• Food must taste good!

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a cook
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Pay strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Be fun and positive
• Love to use fresh ingredients
• Food Handling Certification or can attain one before start date.

***Will need a high school diploma/GED and pass a background check.***
