Commercial Lines Specialist

Primary Role:

• Support agency and producers by managing assigned accounts.
• Retain renewals through exceptional service and expert advice.
• Support sales objectives of the agency through cross-selling, making interdepartmental referrals and obtaining testimonials and referrals.

Duties:

• Answer Customer and 3rd party inquiries and respond in a timely fashion.
• Perform account transactions including quotes, ID cards, proposals, summaries, endorsements, COIs, statement of values, binders, billing, etc. in a timely fashion.
• Collect renewal data/applications on assigned accounts from insureds.
• Survey policy coverages and identify cross-selling and upgrading opportunities.
• Review, analyze, and submit applications to insurance companies.
• Review new business and renewals to ensure items were received as ordered.
• Prepare quotations, coverage summaries/comparisons, proposals and recommendations needed to ensure clients’ and producers’ understanding and adequacy of coverages.
• Follow-up with customers on Cancellation Notices (per ABC client classification).
• Process Cancellation requests from insured, producer, and/or Insurance Company.
• Maintain all client files in the agency management system with full policy details and use the agency management system for all transactions, notes, and diaries.
• Attend Monthly Commercial Lines meetings, training, and other insurance company meetings, as required by the Manager.
• Provide backup for other CSRs that are out of the office.
• Participate in valuable CE courses to maintain license and improve industry knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of policy provisions and any changes in these provisions.
• Participate in any special projects at management's request.

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio Property & Casualty License required
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial lines account management experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of Applied Epic highly desired; will consider other agency management systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude
• Detail-oriented to handle multiple clients, tasks, and requirements

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid Work Schedule)
