Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Designer to support the drafting and design needs of our Engineering, Real Estate, Legal, and Construction teams. This role plays a critical part in the development process by producing high-quality design documents and collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to bring commercial real estate projects from concept to completion.

Salary: 70-90K

Location: Onsite in ATL, with opportunity to go to hybrid 2 days onsite after that

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and timely design solutions based on clearly defined project criteria.
  • Review and interpret design documentation, including ALTA/ACSM boundary surveys, topographic surveys, legal descriptions, civil site plans, and engineering reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to create preliminary site plans, contract exhibits, grading plans, boundary and easement exhibits, and more using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized processes to enhance design efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritizing work based on deadlines and complexity.
  • Communicate design progress and technical details clearly and effectively with both internal stakeholders and outside partners.
  • Occasionally assist in maintaining and updating internal design standards, templates, and AutoCAD support tools such as custom blocks, commands, layer standards, and plot styles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Surveying.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using Autodesk Civil 3D (version 2020 or newer) on civil engineering or land surveying projects.
  • Experience in fieldwork related to construction or pre-construction activities is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with document management software is a plus.
