Job Summary The responsibilities of an Automotive Glass Technician include removing, installing, and replacing automotive glass (windshields, gate glass, door glass, qtr glass). Will be handling all Service and Collision Glass work for the dealerships. Need to be efficient and ready to make money by performing timely services. Benefits * Competitive Pay * Medical, Vision, Dental * 401(k) Retirement Plan * Group Life Insurance * Flexible Spending Account * Paid Vacation * Employee Discounts Responsibilities * Determine damaged parts * Document all repairs performed and recommended on the repair order, with proper flag sheets, and technician notes * Communicate status of repairs clearly to applicable management, estimator, and/or advisor * Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary parts * Document all materials used * Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner * Follow all company safety procedures * Follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste Qualifications * Previous automotive experience * Time management skills for performing multiple duties in a fast-paced environment * Completion of vocational program preferred, but not required * Strong communication and organizational skills * Clean driving record & valid driver’s license About Us The Norton Family has been handling Oklahoma’s automotive needs since 1928, and we take pride in providing the best customer experience possible. Physical Requirements * The physical requirements of the position are MEDIUM to HEAVY in intensity. * Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. * Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely. * Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing. * Frequent – Repetitive motion. * Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to ~100 lbs. Physical Working Conditions * This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operation an auto dealership.
