The University of Mississippi's Department of Higher Education seeks applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are open to methodological approaches and seek a colleague who focuses on one or more of the following via their research, scholarship, and service: (a) college student development and success; (c) organizational leadership and development, policy, and governance; (d) student affairs administration; and/or (e) program assessment and evaluation.
The Department of Higher Education offers master's degrees focused on Student Affairs on the Oxford campus and an online cohort designed for working professionals. The department also offers the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree focused on researcher preparation and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in an online cohort focused on the preparation of scholar practitioners. The candidate of choice will be asked to: (1) chair as well as serve on thesis and dissertation committees; (2) conduct research; (3) teach (i.e., using varied modalities); and (4) provide service to the Department, University, broader discipline, and community.
